Life advice
The unhurried decision
Most decisions feel urgent and few are. Give the important ones a night's sleep and a walk. Distance is not delay; it is how the mind finds its honest answer.
There is a test worth keeping: will this choice matter in forty days? If not, decide quickly and move on with a light heart. If it will, then the decision deserves the respect of slowness. Write it down in one sentence. Say it out loud to someone who knew you before you were important. Sleep.
The morning rarely changes the facts. What it changes is the weather inside you, and most bad decisions are made in bad weather.
